Picture
Strongholds

Recently I was at a conference where many churches were worshiping together. I had the picture in my head of the Bride of Christ tearing down strongholds- just by worshiping in unity. Simply by DOING what the Father calls us to do, we turn on the light in a dark place and the shadows flee. So I came home and created this photo in attempt to capture what I saw.

I remember leading a home group in Texas several years ago and the love of God was very present in a special way because of how we chose to walk in unity. The Lord spoke to me and said, "You are tearing down the religious spirit in this territory, just by releasing the Holy Spirit in this way."

When we obey the Lord, worship boldly, and cultivate unity, we accomplish more than we can dream.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds," 2 Corinthians 10:4

This is another powerful image, with a lot of symbols of strength - the huge sword, large stones, strong impact, a powerful stance.

I have noticed that the recent series has focused on spiritual warfare in one way or another. I love the metaphors and the imagery. They certainly portray the power that Jesus can wield through His bride, the church, via the agency of the Hoky Spirit. It might be interesting to see an image of Jesus, the Christ, fighting for His bride and not just through her.

I have also noticed that the series has been thematically dark. Almost every scene is cloudy (even though the brightness of God’s light illuminates each scene in some way). The colors are generally muted. The mood is struggling in a fight.

It would be interesting to also see some images of peace, hope, joy, and love. What do those aspects of the Christian experience look like?

Hey Bryan, thanks for commenting! Yeah, I think my entire portfolio gives more themes than just the recent ones. But I will say that “dark art” with a fantasy feel is a very strong communicator to our culture today. Part of my goal is to use that language to connect people with hope and truth. Not all the time, but it’s a powerful tool, so I use it when needed.

We all have (known or unknown) abilities/gifts/talents of God’s creativity imparted to us as a promise. Thank you for sharing some of your discovered abilities (they’re rather unique)!

Once I tried to ‘cause our local bodies to merge into unity through revival (before I even knew what the word ‘revial’ meant). Sometimes I have personal revelation myself that no one else would understand (or so I thought).

If they were to experience God’s sweet sweet aroma, then I don’t see how they could not desire to come together in that very same anointing.

Be it God’s will I hope to obtain an EOS R to help men visualize being a bride (similar to your own works).

Just a few days ago I was in a terrible accident, so I’m a bit perplexed because I was ordered to not return to a place where the presence of the Lord is strong (in Harmony)! Ugh...2 police officers also experienced the very same atmosphere in the banquet room.

God, I want to do it all, but I want be Your all. Please show me how it can be done. Where I can find lost belongings and a quickened recovery, for Your Glory & Honor!

Noticing that perhaps she isn't swinging the blade but rather perhaps just strongly by faith pointing it with intent focus touching that thing on earth agreeing with the Holy Spirit, agreeing with the Word.

Matthew 18:19
