The Vision
The Body of Christ is longing for a fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit and a return to authentic roots of the first century church. We need places of encounter, modern "thin places," like those created by the early Celtic saints created where heaven touched earth in a beautiful way. Places to heal from life's trauma, learn new spiritual tools, and step into a curated place of prayer where we can easily hear God's heartbeat.
The Potter's House Prayer and Presence community is a rich tapestry of people around the the world who are passionate about encounter with the Holy Spirit. When coming to the micro-retreat center in East Texas, lives are changed... bodies, souls and spirit are transformed. Practicing life-giving rhythms of prayer, "alone together" prayers, hospitality, prophetic activation and ministry, praying over the land and more-- these are ancient practices that teach us to engage with the Lord in beautiful ways. The THIN PLACE is a place of ENCOUNTER!

Testimonies
Over 400 people have come to the property over the last year, both for ministry and to rent our cabins, and the testimonies are overwhelming. Tears are shed... lives are changed. Hearts are set on fire! Many healings have taken place in physical bodies and broken hearts, along with angelic visitations and prophetic ministry. This is possibly the first Spirit-filled micro-retreat center which also highlights the practices of the early church! Our model is ALREADY inspiring leaders in Ireland, England, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, and more to build "thin places" of God's Presence with practical, Biblical tools.

It's time to grow!
The Need:
-We often have a waiting list for cabins during retreats. We believe more lives can be touched!
-We'd like to house interns to help us "priest the Presence" for longer times. Prayer cabins make this possible.
-We believe pastors and leaders would love a quiet place to stay and pray.
-Self-guided retreats are powerful: we'd like to offer an affordable price per night rather than our BnB cabins that require a higher cost.
-Our goal is to host 12 people on the property for longer retreats and ministry schools.
-Cabins enable us to keep the ancient practice of "alone together:" the early saints each had a "prayer cell" for private prayer, but the huts were in close proximity to others who were also praying. Perfect for building short-term or longer term prayer communities!
-Many ages 30-40's have the desire to build micro-retreat centers, and we believe this will offer a cutting edge model for use around the world! Rebecca is already mentoring young leaders with her experience up to this point.

One of our current glamping cabins: guests travel from around the world to visit!
The cabins will look much like the one below, which is our glamping cabin but it will have a flat (slanted) 10' roof.
These cabins will be a lovely size for a "prophet's room" as listed in 2 Kings 4:10, with a bed, table, chair, and lamp. They will have large window overlooking the forest, and several small windows near the ceiling. A beautiful space!

Praying over the Land
At a recent retreat, we prayed over the land and took up an offering to clear the spaces for cabins and a centralized area for food and tables. We could feel the peace of God touch the land as we prayed over it!
At a recent retreat, we prayed over the land and took up an offering to clear the spaces for cabins and a centralized area for food and tables. We could feel the peace of God touch the land as we prayed over it!
Shortly afterwards, the land was cleared by a company we have worked with in the past. This will give a wagon wheel template, with the chapel area at the hub, and the cabins around them. The prayer cabins will be built on skids, which means we can legally raise money for them.
