Launch Out Into the Glory ~by Prophet Greg Benton
When you are in His presence, you are in the glory. In Luke 4:43 (Amp) it says, “I must preach the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God to the other cities [and towns] also, for I was sent for this [purpose]. A king is appointed, not elected. A king makes decrees. He may decree blessing or favor. His word is LAW.

The people were hungry. The multitudes pressed about Him to hear the Word. There is life in the Word. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. The spoken word is powerful. Compare “I don’t like you” to “I love you.” There is life in words- good or bad.

They followed Him to the Sea of Galilee. Peter had been fishing all night and had caught nothing. Jesus got into his boat and requested that he draw away from shore that He might continue teaching the people. When He had finished teaching, He told Peter to launch out into the deep waters and cast his nets for a large haul. Peter explained his efforts resulted in nothing after a full night’s work, but at His word, he would do so. The catch was so great, James and John had to come help so the nets wouldn’t break.

When we get to a place when we are about to give up, Jesus steps in. During periods of discouragement, He’s there to encourage us. Every time we are pulled down and have to climb the mountain again, our legs get stronger. Adversity introduces us to ourselves. To conquer the mountain, we must get our minds and our focus on Him, and off the circumstances. And when we conquer the mountain, we gain dominion. When we take dominion, the kingdom advances. We take our ground and are now equipped to help others take theirs, even at an accelerated pace. As the kingdom advances, the King is elevated to His rightful place of glory. So, it’s time to launch out into the glory.

At a previous job, I led a man to Christ. This man had a wife, but also had a child with a woman on the job. His life was a mess. But I knew that if he got saved, God could fix his or anyone else’s mess. He got saved. When he returned to work, his co-workers knew something was different, he was changed. God can step into your mess, your circumstances, and your fire (like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego), and you will make it through. The woman with the penny gave all she had because she trusted Him. She was remembered throughout the generations for that one selfless act. The lad with the fishes and loaves gave what he had and God multiplied it. He had 12 baskets left over. God Himself is a giver. He gave His son. He gave everything for us. What about the woman who prayed for 40 years to see the coming of Messiah? She dedicated her life to it. She interceded. Prayer is powerful. Words are powerful. She trusted the One who is faithful and true and saw Jesus with her own eyes.

When I was 9 years old, we were considered poor. We didn’t know we were, we simply were born into it. But at that time, our electricity was turned off for lack of payment. I had that childlike faith that God would help, so I went outside, laid hands on the meter box and prayed that the electricity would come back on. It did. Childlike faith doesn’t make sense, but God uses the foolish to confound the wise. Moses hit a rock in the desert to get water?!

Sometimes God will step into your difficulty and change the circumstances IF you hold your ground. Peter fished all night and caught nothing. Daniel prayed 21 days for Gabriel to come. When you can’t see it, pray it through. PUSH, like in labor. God always shows up when it is impossible for man to do it, like at Jericho. He will get all the glory. In the 1900’s, the Titanic was built and proclaimed the most seaworthy ship that “even God Himself couldn’t sink this ship.” You know the rest of the story. God can use anyone- murderers (Moses, Paul) or harlots (Rahab)-to accomplish a goal. God can change people in a twinkling of an eye, like Paul on the road to Damascus.

When you see Him in His glory, He turns everything around. And He is accurate. If He promises you something, everything around you may fall, but you’ll be left standing. Like Peter said in Luke 5:5, “ at Your WORD, I will let down my nets.” In the mouth of Jesus is life and blessing. And when God blesses, it’s overflowing. Peter asked for help to secure the catch of fish. “Come and help me.” We don’t hear that much today that our blessings are so vast that we need help to secure it all.

Words are powerful. Of twelve spies, 10 brought a bad report and changed the concept for 3 million people. Adolf Hitler, a corporal in the army, changed the concept for an entire nation. ONE VOICE can make a difference.
